RU-486 Abortion Deaths

State cites hospital for not reporting woman’s death

[Death!] State
health officials investigating the case of a young woman who died after
a therapeutic drug-induced abortion found that the hospital failed to
report the death as an unusual occurrence.

We need more investigations like this one. How many other RU-486
deaths have not been reported? How many have been classified as
something else? It’s time the public finds out.

Tax cut would aid wealthy

Money

Lawmakers taken aback as chief economist says half of S.C. taxpayers will gain little from plan

"More than half of South Carolina taxpayers would get virtually no relief from an income tax cut proposed by Gov. Mark Sanford and state House members, the state"

Every time I read an article like this I think, "Well, Duh!?! Of course the rich benefit more, they pay more taxes! That doesn’t mean tax cuts are bad." Read this simple explanation of tax cuts for more insight. This analogy is so simple even an ivory tower liberal should be able to understand. (But they probably still won’t get it.)

Bank Robbers Dress Code?

You
might have to take your hat off the next time you go to the bank.

[Topic: News] Participating banks will have signs on the doors requesting customers
remove any sunglasses, hats or hoods they might be wearing before
entering the bank. The policy is designed to cut down on bank robberies?

This just shows how organizations put in place some pretty stupid
rules to try and stop bad things from happening. I doubt this will
deter any bank robbers. If you’re going to rob a bank, then you’re
going to ignore the sign also.
