Fired EMT Sues After Refusing to Transport Woman for Abortion
Elmhurst, IL (LifeNews.com)
In a case that has attracted national attention, a lawsuit has been
filed against an Illinois ambulance service that fired a worker who
refused to transport a woman to an abortion center.
I guess your religious beliefs are only protected if you believe in
a minority religion, like Wicca or Islam? If you have sincere Christian
beliefs that prevent you from taking a certain action on the job,
you’re not protected?

I found this story because I was looking for info on the woman that was fired over the bumper sticker on her car. Her boss put his political viewpoints in her paycheck via a flyer, but she could not have a bumper sticker on her own private vehicle.
This story here is interesting and my favorite part of the report is that the right thing is being done with the action taken.
Many times people’s rights are violated and there is NO action taken. In the case with the fired woman, no legal action there. No one stepping in that way.
This kind of violation happens to all types of people with all types of beliefs.
Two people were also arrested July 4th in TX for wearing Anti-Bush t-shirts to a Bush speech. Just T-shirts. This is plain wrong. This is not China.
All Americans need to support freedom and not act like ‘it’s only our group’ - or- it’s our group more. Everyone gets it. I seriously doubt any Democrat or Independant would ever have a Republican arrested for wearing a t-shirt. But in some other way, they may be guilty of something regarding a person’s rights. I’m willing to admit that. We all need to start respecting each other’s freedom and not feed in to the deviciveness that permeates our culture now a days.
Just remember. America means freedom, (right?)
