I have no idea why people are talking about this as a failure?
Phelps is still young, the average age for Olympic swimmers is 23.
Exactly the age he will be for the 2008 Olympics. I’m sure he’ll break
Spitz’s record sometime.

Iranian Judo Champ Refuses to Compete With Israeli

Iranian world Judo champion Arash Miresmaeili was four pounds
over the weight limit for his category at the 2004 Olympic Games –
leaving some to wonder if this was a deliberate move to avoid competing
against Israeli Judoka Udi Vaks. The Iranian athlete has expressed his
solidarity with the Palestinians.

It’s a shame this guy is playing politics at the Olympics. It’s supposed to be a time of world unity.

Laugh, It's Funny


You’ve never referred to Philadelphia as anything but "Philly." And New
Jersey has always been "Jersey."

You refer to Pennsylvania as "PA."

"You guys" is a perfectly acceptable reference to a group of men & women.

You know how to respond to the question "Djeetyet?"

You learned to pronounce Bryn Mawr, Wilkes-Barre, Schuylkill, Bala Cynwyd,
Duquesne, New Tripoli, Tunkhannock, Punxsutawney, Tamaqua, Susquehanna,
Allegheny, and Monongahela.

You know what a "Mummer" is, and are disappointed if you can’t catch at least
highlights of the parade.
