Naming Fish
Auburn just bought Rachel a beta fish. He’s red (I’ll take a picture soon, I promise.) Rachel got back from vacation today and wanted to talk to me on the phone. Here’s how the conversation went:
Rachel: “Hello Daddy.”
Daddy: “Hiya Pumpkin!”
Rachel: “I thought of a name for my fish.”
Daddy: “Ok, what is it?”
Rachel: “‘Pheobe,’ like the girl on Charmed.”
Daddy: “You know he’s a boy fish, right? I think you should name him ‘Leo.’”
Rachel: “How do you know he’s a boy?”
Daddy: “He’s more brightly colored than the girl fish.”
Rachel: “So he can charm all the girl fish?”
Daddy: “Yes, that’s the way it is with fish.”
Rachel: “I’m going to name him ‘Clark.’ Like Clark Kent.”
Smallville is one of Rachel’s favorite TV shows and she must think young Superman is charming.
