This reminds me of a scene from a Star Wars movie.

President Bush, under pressure to do something about gasoline prices that are expected to stay high through the summer, ordered an investigation into possible cheating in the markets. The government also asked states on Tuesday to guard against unfair pricing.

Remember when the Trade Federation invaded Naboo and Queen Amidala went to the Senate to complain? She insisted the Senate take action to stop the illegal invasion. What did the Chancellor do? He called for a commission to study the problem. Amidala’s response was to call for an immediate vote of no confidence in the Chancellor.

President Bush’s 32% approval ratings show the American people have already given him a vote of no confidence. Why is he still fiddling?
