Today’s Blogmarks

Grabbed from my blogmarks.

Jose, can you see?
Jorge Bush finally found a point of difference with his amigos who support illegal aliens. Asked whether the national anthem should be sung in English or Spanish, el presidente didn’t miss a beat. “I think the national anthem ought to be sung in English, and I think people who want to be a citizen of this country ought to learn English and they ought to learn to sing the national anthem in English,” he said without equivocation — at least for now.

Website targets racist Hispanics
A website run by opponents of illegal immigration highlights the tactics of Hispanic activists who defend unlawful aliens, including the use of hate speech, profanity and calls for whites to be deported.

  • I am willing to bet, the Americans most upset about the Spanish Anthem are probably unable to sing the first properly, much less 2-4.

Also, since you’re labeling calls the deportation of white people “hate speech”, will that designation get applied to white people who called for deportations?

  • It’s almost impossible for most Americans to sing the Star Spangled Banner because they don’t have the vocal range required. If you’re talking about just knowing the words, that’s a different story…

  • Well, plenty of drunk Brits sang it, or at least the English drinking song from which Key stole the music. As for singing verses 2-4, I doubt most Americans know they exist, much less the words to them. But why let personal ignorance get in the way of a godo two minute hate.

  • HG did you get the source of th Jefferson qute you made or are you ready to retract??

  • Joseph, no need to taunt HG. I’m sure he’s misquoting Jefferson.

  • Actually, I was wrong. It is most likely a bogus quote, though no one has traced down its creator or where it first appeared.

  • Thank you HG for your admission.
If you dig deeper, you may find that there are quite a few ‘misquotes’ being attributed to Jefferson and others.

Satan is the author of lies.

  • Satan is make-believe.

  • Do you see what you are doing HG??

We say something about Jesus or Satan, you do not believe it and are telling us we should not either.

We say we don’t believe in homosexual behavior, and you accuse us of forcing our beliefs on you.

If you choose to spend your time on this earth not believing in God, Jesus or Satan, that is your CHOICE and you should thank God that He did not create a bunch of robots who have to follow His commands (to love one another). You should however RESPECT the decision of those who do believe.

If we choose to follow the commands of God and believe that homosexual behavior is WRONG, then that is also our choice. At the same time, we should RESPECT the decision of someone else to choose that lifestyle, however we do not have to ACCEPT it. (For example I do not ACCEPT many of the decisions that say President Bush or Clinton make, but I have to RESPECT their authority).

If you decided that you wanted to go and play frisbee on the shoulder of I-85, and I came along and said ‘you really shouldn’t do that or you might get killed’…. would you call me intolerant and forcing my beliefs on you only because I was trying to keep you from doing something that I THINK is wrong???

  • Joseph, I am not imposing my beliefs on you. I merely state the reality of the situation. I am not forcing my theory of creation (FSM) into public schools. I am not interfering with your ability to marry whoever you choose. I and so far as I know, the gay community isnt doing things like dragging rocks into the Alabama Supreme Court, an act which should have landed Moore in jail, but didn’t, since Alabama is a poorly educated, bible belt state.

  • You know HG, you are right, and nothing I can do will change your ‘reality’.

After all, you aren’t any better than Pharoah was were you (Pharoah was a real person wasn’t he??) when God dealt with him and Pharoahs heart was hardened.

I think it best to just step out of God’s way, and let Him deal with you.

    Good day.
