Football team must keep God off the field
An American football team from the bible belt has been prevented from spreading the word of God during a game on Friday. The Birmingham Steeldogs, based in Alabama, had been planning to carry biblical texts on the back of their jerseys for their home game against Louisville Fire, a first in US sports history.
Is coming national ID ‘mark of the beast’?
Is the national ID card the next step toward the imposition of the biblical “mark of the beast” Christians believe will be required to buy and sell during the Last Days? That’s the contention of a growing group of believers who are working to turn back the approval of the Real ID Act by Congress last year. Public Law 109-13 requires the national ID portion of the plan go into effect by May 2008.

LMAO, on one hand, Bush is a deeply religious leader, but then he’s responsible for moving us one step closer to the mark of the beast.

Doesn’t matter who’s in the Whitehouse. Congress is responsible for making the laws, so we can’t blame everything on the President. When the anti-Christ takes charge at the U.N., the mark will be required.

Joseph, it’s called mockery and sarcasm.
As for Jason, brief civics lesson, while Congress makes the laws, our fearless has this nifty power called veto, which allows him to reject unwise, unpopular, or pointless laws. He could have used it, but chose not to.

While Bush could use his veto power, it doesn’t matter if the Congress has enough votes to over-ride his veto. The first time Bush does veto legislation, HG and the rest of the liberals will jump all over his ass for “usurping the will of the people” and acting like “King George.”

Yeah sure Jason, liberal Buchanan supporters like myself will jump all over him for vetoing a spending bill. The reality is, I wish Congress would amend the constitution, give Bush the line item veto, and allow him to at least slow his borrow and spend ways. Jesus man, spends more money than liberals.

I’m confused, HG. You’re a Buchanan supporter? Or was that sarcasm? Buchanan is a very religious guy and you seem like an agnostic at best.

Yeah, despite the dumbing down of the American political landscape, there are options other than liberal/conservative out there. I tend to vacilliate between Buchanan and various anarchist beliefs depending on my mood, latest test scores, and BAC.
