Over the past years, I have noticed a steady decline in the RELATIONSHIP aspect of Christianity, and an increase in the RELIGION portion. After moving to the 'bible-belt' hoping to be around like-minded belivers... I have come to the conclusion that this area is inappropriately named. Jason, nothing against you personally, or your church specifically, but I have been to two different Southern Baptist churches here in SC. I was asked to leave one of them because of my political views (which I never even discussed with anyone at the church), and another Southern Baptist church has treated me like I have leprosy because of those views. Lord willing, I will never grace the door of another Southern Baptist church in my lifetime. Churches that focus more on the number of 'programs' and activities they can have, rather than focusing on ministering to those in it's congregation, and reaching out to those around it.... well I like to think that those are the churches that will be 'spit out of the mouth' of Jesus as being lukewarm. The church of today is DEFINATELY the church mentioned several times in the Bible - in the last days, many will turn away from the faith.
