Can someone like myself, a man with libertarian leanings, support John McCain? I think I agree with him on many social issues, but don’t agree with him on others. I want John to pledge to preserve the Bush tax cuts and make even more tax cuts. I want to support a candidate who truly wants smaller government and wants to reign in spending.

McCain could go a long way to getting my solid support by picking a good VP candidate and announcing his choice sooner rather than later. If you’re listening John, I think you should pick Governor Mark Sanford of South Carolina. Anybody who shows up at the State House with a pig under each arm will get my vote. At this point, it’s all about the Veep.
