Before you vote for Obama…

Seven things to think about before supporting national health care
- There is no problem with uninsured.
- The neediest already have programs available to them.
- Healthcare is something to be purchased by the individual not the government.
- Nationalized healthcare creates problems for the countries that have implemented it.
- Nationalized healthcare robs you of choice.
- Nationalized healthcare transfers power from the individual to the government.
- Quality and availability would decline drastically.

Thanks!
I’ve been surprised at how little this issue has been discussed. It looks like something they’ll try to slip in (if) elected.
I follow a lot of the stories that come out of Canada and other countries that already have a system like this in place. Frightening to say the least.
I’ve been to the emergency room several times, and spent the night in the hospital once. I had my own room once they moved me out of the ER, and it was still a miserable experience. Imagine being the woman who’s doctor decided she needed hospitalized because she was so ill, but the hospital was out of beds, so they kept her on a gurney in an open ER hallway for 5 days while she waited for a bed in the hospital to open.
People need to be informed. Thanks again.

1. there’s a HUGE problem with being uninsured. especially when you’re three months old, poor, and with huge medical problems.
2. that’s not true in many, many cases. particularly in rural areas of the united states.
3. a matter of opinion, not a fact. (i happen to agree, but that still makes it an opinion.)
4. very true. not having it also creates problems. no situation is perfect.
5. not necessarily. in some cases, it would give many people a choice for the first time.
6. true in some cases, but it also would give power to people who didn’t have it.
7. not true in every case.
