Moonbats

I’ve been following a lot of what other people are saying about the candidates on http://election.twitter.com/ and I’ve noticed one thing that’s very common. An awful lot of people have a snobbish attitude towards Sarah Palin. They look down on her as stupid the same way they look down on President Bush as stupid. I don’t think I’m the first one to say this, but I think it’s just “Palin Derangement Syndrome” or PDS.

Liberalism is a mental disease and PDS is one of the ways this disease manifests itself. It’s typified by one comment I saw, “just watched a debate with a hillbilly for the last hour and a half.” This comment came from someone who I think is a working mom, just like Sarah.

The problem is that people aren’t used to hearing politicians who are “plainspoken.” Liberals expect everyone to be “nuanced.” When they hear someone talk straight at them, they’re not used to it. They expect politicians who talk “intelligent.” In my mind, the intelligent politicians are “condescending.” They talk down at us because they think they know how to manage our lives better than we do.

So what I saw last night during the debate was a plainspoken leader vs. a nuanced politician. I prefer plainspoken.
