Apparently I’m a selfish jerk…

I told one of my liberal friends that Obama represents no hope for the future to me. This was his response:
If you believe in isolating yourself from what the world’s opinion of you is, while persisting in trying to kill those that don’t like you (how’s that for doublethink?), then yes, Obama represents no hope. Also, if you prefer using as many of the world’s resources as possible for your own monetary gain/pleasure without regard to how it impacts anyone else, then yes, Obama represents no hope. And once again, if you think that you can turn the world into a toilet in the belief that God will rapture you out of here before the going gets tough, then Obama is not the person to look up to.
I guess being a Libertarian who believes in smaller government and less government intervention in our lives makes me a bad person. If I don’t drink the Kool-Aid and agree that man-made global warming is ruining our planet, then I’m a bad person. The ironic part in all of this is that he says he’s a Christian?

What did Obama do in the first two weeks of his administration to earn a Nobel Peace Prize nomination?

Moonbats
By the Nobel Peace Prize committee’s own admission – nothing, but they have hope. Here are some direct quotes from their announcement.

The Committee has attached special importance to Obama’s vision of and work for a world without nuclear weapons.

The vision of a world free from nuclear arms has powerfully stimulated disarmament and arms control negotiations.

Only very rarely has a person to the same extent as Obama captured the world’s attention and given its people hope for a better future.

Conclusion? The committee knows he hasn’t done anything yet, but they have the “Audacity of Hope.”

Personally, I see no hope in a President who believes in apology and appeasement. He has recently said it is OK if the Taliban remains a part of the political process in Afghanistan. Our goal should be to eliminate the Taliban and al Qaeda. Didn’t we learn anything from Viet Nam? Continue reading

We need more doctors like this

Health Care

I am so happy to be back in Greenville, SC. My favorite doctor in the world, Dr. Kendall, is still in business here. We need more doctors like him. He refuses to deal with insurance companies, he has a minimal staff, therefore he can keep his costs low. My entire office visit, including a blood test, was just $68. That’s a price I can afford, even without health insurance.

Dr. Kendall told me today that he does not want to see Obama succeed with his current health care reform plan. He says it will destroy the doctor-patient relationship. The Republican party has left him and he voted for Chuck Baldwin (Constitution party) in the last Presidential election.
