Murderous Speech

Censorship

Killer’s Words Haunt Victim’s Kin

Trawick’s twisted writings about how he beat, strangled and
stabbed Stephanie Gach and killed other women are available to anyone
who wants to read them on the Internet. Many of the writings were put
there by a one-time pen pal and admirer of Trawick’s.

On one hand, I’m repulsed by what this murderer is writing. I’m
inclined to say the minute he was convicted he gave up all of his
rights to free speech, bearing arms and everything else in the Bill of
Rights.

No Rights!

When you’re convicted
of a heinous crime and put on death row, you don’t deserve any
rights. The ACLU is crazy if they think href="http://www.wired.com/news/print/0,1294,53832,00.html">death
row inmates should have access to the internet. They are
criminals who have been convicted by a jury of their peers. Why
should my tax dollars pay for their internet access? I pay for
my own. I pay for my own web hosting company. It’s not a free
speech issue. Saying it’s a public safety issue is missing the
point. It’s about wasting my tax dollars.

Obviously

Censorship

This just
seems so obvious
. Parents are responsible for what their
children see and hear. Why should we have to spend millions of
taxpayer money to install library internet filters? If you don’t
want your kid looking at pr0n, then you better know where they
are and what they’re doing. Parents, don’t depend on a “Nanny
State” to do your job for you!

Parents, Wake Up!

Topic: CensorshipIt’s not the government’s responsibility to raise your children. It’s not the government’s responsibility to protect them from porn on the internet. Guess who’s responsible? You Are!

That’s right, we shouldn’t even need a Children’s Internet Protection Act. If you don’t want your children to get hurt, it’s your job to protect them. Not the “Nanny State.”

That’s what makes this lawsuit so unnecessary. They’re arguing over automatic pr0n filters on library computers. First, filtering software is fallible. It can’t tell the difference between “come and see these huge breasts” and “the abortion-breast cancer link.” Second, it’s a violation of an adult individuals freedom to automatically filter out perfectly legal material.

For Leftists Only

Topic: CensorshipCollege campuses are supposed to be places where everybody can speak out. But most colleges only protect the rights of those on the ultra-left to speak out. They won’t protect unpopular speech from conservatives on the right.

The University of Houston censors pro-life speech. They’ve banned supposedly disruptive pro-life displays from central areas of campus, but pro-abortion groups are allowed to setup wherever they want.

College newspapers all over the country refused to run an un-popular advertisement. Slavery Reparations are something that should never happen, but when David Horowitz pointed out how ridiculous the idea was, he was censored.
