Saddam Possessed WMD, Had Extensive Terror Ties

Iraqi intelligence documents, confiscated by U.S. forces and obtained by CNSNews.com, show numerous efforts by Saddam Hussein’s regime to work with some of the world’s most notorious terror organizations, including al Qaeda, to target Americans. They demonstrate that Saddam’s government possessed mustard gas and anthrax, both considered weapons of mass destruction, in the summer of 2000, at a time when the United Nations weapons inspectors were not present in Iraq. And the papers show that Iraq trained dozens of terrorists inside its borders…

This is still a developing story, we’ll see how long it will take the major networks to pick it up. (Or will they even notice?)

US intelligence fears Iran duped hawks into Iraq war

An urgent investigation has been launched in Washington into whether
Iran played a role in manipulating the US into the Iraq war by passing
on bogus intelligence through Ahmad Chalabi’s Iraqi National Congress,
it emerged yesterday.

So does this mean Bush was too dumb to see he was being given bad
intelligence? Did George Tenet and Robert Mueller fail to verify
intelligence they’d been given?
