Solving the country’s problems

United States

Everyone concentrates on the problems we’re having in this country lately: illegal immigration, hurricane recovery, alligators attacking people in Florida.

We can solve all of these problems in three easy steps:

  1. Dig a moat the length of the Mexican border.
  2. Send the dirt to New Orleans to raise the levies.
  3. Put the Florida alligators in the moat along the Mexican border.

Any other problems you would like for me to solve today?

ACLU in bed with terrorists

Moonbats

In a not so suprising development, CAIR National Board Chairman Parvez Ahmed has been elected to the board of the American Civil Liberties Union of Florida.

“American Muslims view the protection of civil liberties as one of the most important issues facing our nation today,” said Ahmed. “By working with the ACLU in Florida, I hope to strengthen constitutional rights and help balance those rights with legitimate national security concerns.” Ahmed is a resident of Jacksonville, Fla.

The ACLU of Florida, with headquarters in Miami, is the local affiliate of the national organization. It has 16 staff members, 16 chapters and more than 22,000 members and supporters across Florida.

CAIR and the ACLU have cooperated on a number of issues at the national level to defile America like defending people with admitted terror ties, destroying National Security, and a number of other anti-American activities.

It really isn’t a suprising move for the ACLU to accept a member to the board from an organization with known terror ties. Its not like its the first time.

Bush plan allows illegals to stay

President Bush announced today a major overhaul of immigration policy that will offer a reprieve to an estimated 8 million illegal workers facing the threat of deportation.

I really can’t believe Bush is doing this. It’s not going to make our country any safer. It won’t help create jobs, Americans will probably lose jobs because of this.

Bad News for NEA

Education

A+ for Florida vouchers

For years, advocates of school vouchers for children otherwise confined to abysmally performing public schools have argued that the dose of competition provided by vouchers would improve the failing public schools. Now, a major study by the Center for Civic Innovation at the Manhattan Institute has provided much evidence that proves the point.

This is bad news for the NEA, but great news for Florida’s school children. The NEA doesn’t want to see results like this because it means they’ll have to start holding their teachers accountable. No more unquestioned authority for the educrats at the NEA. There goes their educational monopoly.

Can Any Democrat Win?

Election 2004

Dem Presidential Candidate Calls for Tax Hikes

CNSNews.com: “Sen. Bob Graham, a Florida Democrat who’s running for president, is releasing his economic plan Thursday, and critics say it’s heavy on tax hikes – something that appeals to left-wing, “soak the rich” Democrats, in the words of a taxpayer watchdog group. “It used to be just Ted Kennedy who was coming up with cockamamie schemes to jack up taxes,” said Grover Norquist, head of Americans for Tax Reform. “Now the so-called ‘moderate’ presidential candidates are following their most extreme left-wing colleagues.” The American Shareholders Association also condemned Graham’s economic plan, calling it a “stunning development.”

How can any Democratic candidate think they’ll win campaigning on a platform of raising taxes? Just doesn’t make sense. Republicans have won campaining on promises of lower taxes and smaller government. I don’t think the American sheople will want to vote for someone who promises to raise taxes. (Except maybe for a few liberal loonies out there on the left coast.)
