Apparently I’m a selfish jerk…

I told one of my liberal friends that Obama represents no hope for the future to me. This was his response:
If you believe in isolating yourself from what the world’s opinion of you is, while persisting in trying to kill those that don’t like you (how’s that for doublethink?), then yes, Obama represents no hope. Also, if you prefer using as many of the world’s resources as possible for your own monetary gain/pleasure without regard to how it impacts anyone else, then yes, Obama represents no hope. And once again, if you think that you can turn the world into a toilet in the belief that God will rapture you out of here before the going gets tough, then Obama is not the person to look up to.
I guess being a Libertarian who believes in smaller government and less government intervention in our lives makes me a bad person. If I don’t drink the Kool-Aid and agree that man-made global warming is ruining our planet, then I’m a bad person. The ironic part in all of this is that he says he’s a Christian?

Anthropogenic Global Warming?

Environmental Whackos

I’ve said it before, I think humans have a very high opinion of themselves if they think they can mess up God’s creation this badly.

Gobal Warming “Evidence” Questioned

The scientific argument that humans have caused global warming – a major underpinning of the “Kyoto Protocols” – suffered a major blow last week, with the publication of a new study. The implications have not yet spread very far beyond the rarified circles of specialists, but the gospel of “anthropogenic” — human-caused — global warming has lost one of its intellectual foundations.

The biggest problem I have with the so-called scientists is that they only have accurate temperature records for less than a century. They have to guess what the temperature trends were before that. Guessing isn’t good science, it’s junk science.
