Consumer watchdogs tear into Google's new e-mail service
San Francisco "Google
hails its new e-mail service as a breakthrough in online communication,
but consumer watchdogs are attacking it as a creepy invasion of privacy
that threatens to set a troubling precedent."
Is there a privacy issue here? I'm not sure I see it. I guess
there's some e-mails I don't want Google scanning, but the benefits
might outweigh the risks. After all, your ISP can do the same thing,
can't they?
If I sound confused, that's because I am.
